Scribbes respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we will respond to valid notices of copyright infringement.
This policy outlines the procedures for reporting copyright infringement and our process for responding to such claims.
Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe that content on Scribbes infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice. To be valid, your notice must include the following information:
1. Identification of Copyrighted Work
A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, or if multiple works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
2. Identification of Infringing Material
A description of where the material that you claim is infringing is located on Scribbes, with sufficient detail that we can find it (e.g., URL, username, content ID).
3. Your Contact Information
Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
4. Statement of Good Faith
A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
5. Statement of Accuracy
A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
6. Physical or Electronic Signature
Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is acceptable).

Warning: Filing a false or fraudulent DMCA notice may result in legal liability. Please ensure your claim is valid before submitting.
Filing a Counter-Notification
If you believe that content you posted was removed in error or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include:
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
- Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for your judicial district
- A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original DMCA notice
- Your physical or electronic signature

Our Process
When we receive a valid DMCA notice:
Review
We will review the notice to ensure it meets DMCA requirements.
Remove Content
If valid, we will promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material.
Notify User
We will notify the user who posted the content about the removal.
Counter-Notification Period
The user has 10-14 business days to file a counter-notification.
Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, we have adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also, at our sole discretion, limit access to Scribbes and/or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others.
